Either way we are so excited to welcome another beautiful girl into the world. The US was nice because my mom, granny and best friend were all there and Robby of course. My granny has never been to an ultrasound before, so she was the most excited.
We've had a boy name picked out for a little while now, but couldn't settle on a girl name until after we found out the gender. It was fun bouncing names around with Robby and having friends send over their suggestions. I think we have her name. Fingers crossed it sticks.
This pregnancy has been pretty identical to Isla's, so I should of known we were having another girl. All of the symptoms that I do have are very mild, and I rarely even feel pregnant. My belly is growing quickly, so that feeling won't last long. I do have bad fatigue every day as soon as Isla wakes up from her nap around 2 or 3. It can be really hard to push through, but some how we manage. Robby has been an absolute life saver. As soon as he gets home from work he pretty much takes over with Isla. I will either cook dinner or just veg on the couch. He is such a good dad to Isla.
I have also started feeling Braxton Hicks contractions, which I thought was crazy to be feeling so soon. I had them a ton with Isla, so I guess that's just how my body works. I am also feeling more and more baby movements! I felt the first flutters pretty early on, and I think Robby felt her kick for the first time around 16 or 17 weeks. I will say that this little bean doesn't seem to be as active as her sister. I remember Isla constantly moving, but this child is more of a nighttime mover.
How far along: 18 Weeks 1 Day
Gender: Girl!
Weight gain: I've gained 10 pounds (125) already! I'm actually trying to eat a bit healthier lately and am taking yoga classes regularly, so hopefully my weight gain will slow down.
Symptoms: Sore boobs occasionally, fatigue, my lower abdomen is tender to the touch, braxton hicks contractions, pregnancy brain, insane hair and nail growth, a little bit of hip pain.
Belly button in or out: It is pretty much popped out.
Sleep: I sleep through the night, but I never feel like I get enough sleep.
Best moment this week: Finding out the gender and picking out her name!
Worst moment this week: Nothing terrible comes to mind. I was disappointed that the ultrasound was so short, and I felt like we didn't get to see much of my baby. The tech was super sweet and everything, I just was expecting a little more. I think I might do an elective ultrasound just so I can watch the baby wiggle around some more.
Miss anything: Just eating whatever the heck I want. The usual.
Movement: Yes! Mostly just rolling around, and every now and then a tiny little kick. But I am still looking forward to feeling stronger movements all day long.
Cravings: Nothing really.
