I've been working on Baby B's nursery since my first trimester. I must admit I've dreamed about my baby's nursery long before getting pregnant. I think Pinterest only added fuel to that fire. Since Robby and I just bought a house and had other house projects in the works, I put myself on a very strict budget when it came to the nursery. Well I didn't have a number in my head, but I made sure to save wherever possible.
Her crib was free, and I absolutely love it. My grandmother actually used it at her house when my sisters and I were babies. The rocker was an old wingback chair we found at a thrift store a couple of years ago for under $40. I just ordered rocker feet for Robby to put on it for $50. Can't beat that deal. Her dresser was found at another thrift store for $30. It is a bit beat up, and I wouldn't mind finding a new one, but it's doing it's job for now. The big print over her crib was found at an antique store for $20 and the other prints are from a sidewalk sale at Rifle Paper Company (my favorite store ever). The rolling cart is from Ikea for $30. A lot of the decorative stuff we had around the house. All of the Target stuff was on sale or clearance. The bookshelf Robby made for free from a pallet. I think you get the idea. :)
Some people may think that her room is too blue for a little girl, but I personally do not like anything super pink or girly. The color scheme actually came organically. When I started buying things for the nursery I didn't know if we were having a boy or girl. I tried to keep it as neutral as possible then added little feminine pieces once we knew. I have people ask me all of the time what the theme of my nursery is, and I don't have an answer for them because it has no theme. I'm just not a theme kind of girl.
How far along: 35 weeks! 5 weeks to go.
Gender: GIRL!
Weight gain: I weigh 148 now, so in total I have gained 28 pounds.
Symptoms: I'm having a ton more dreams. None of which are particularly great. I've found a couple of small stretch marks on my belly, but they are still the same color as my skin so they aren't too obvious. I know my skin has reached it's stretching limit, so I expect to get a lot more. I burp nonstop.
Belly button in or out: Out.
Sleep: I've had a couple of bad nights this week where I couldn't fall asleep or I woke up throughout the night. It's so hard to get comfortable.
Best moment this week: I had my 35 week appointment today. Apparently, Baby B has dropped, is head down and I am almost 1 cm dilated. The doctor said everything is looking great and that she shouldn't come too early or too late. Little B will be an easy baby for us. I just love hearing how well this little girl is doing! As soon as she makes her way into the world I'm going to thank her for making this the best experience of my life.
Worst moment this week: This week I finally said the words, "I'm done being pregnant." I've just felt exhausted and uncomfortable pretty much all week. I'm not always miserable, but I definitely have miserable moments. I would also say that eating has kind of sucked lately. It doesn't matter if we just went grocery shopping or not, there is nothing in the house I want to eat. All I want to do is go out to eat or get a Starbucks after dinner. I don't want to spend the money but nothing is satisfying me!
Miss anything: I miss being comfortable.
Movement: At my last appointment she was head down, but I feel like she might have moved to a transverse position because her hiccups have moved up. She also had a party in my belly Thursday morning.
Cravings: Starbucks caramel frappucino half the sweetness.
Looking forward to: My sweet baby girl making her arrival!
