21 Week Update

12:26 PM

Another week done. I really can't believe how quickly time is moving right now.

This week I started pregnancy Yoga. I found a few videos on Youtube and do about 20 minutes every morning. I find that it really helps loosen my entire body and makes me more productive the first half of the day. I can't say much for the second half...

Baby Baggett received her first gifts from Robby's parents. A few items from Pottery Barn Kids that have her name stitched into them. I may have choked up a little seeing it. I have an actual daughter with an actual name and an actual blanket to sleep with when she gets here. It's all a bit bizarre to think about but so very exciting.

Also, baby shower plans are in the works. I can't wait to celebrate this little girl growing inside of me.

How far along: 21 weeks

Gender: Girl!

Weight gain: I'm probably close to 10 pounds now.

Symptoms: This week my belly has started to cause some discomfort, I have shortness of breath and I have to pee every 15 minutes. But I'm not complaining. I like feeling pregnant.

Maternity clothes: I may have purchased a couple more dresses to add to my collection, but they are non-maternity so I can wear them after I give birth. I honestly cannot stand pants anymore.

Belly button in or out: The top half of my belly button sticks out more than the bottom half, but I know it's not much longer until the whole thing pops out.

Sleep: I can't get enough of it. I sleep well with the occasional restless night. Luckily I haven't had to wake up to pee yet.

Best moment this week: Robby and I bought dessert then headed to a local park to eat it. As we're eating our macarons, we see parents taking their kids around the playground. We just sat and talked about how that will be us pretty soon.

Worst moment this week: I thought I found a stretch mark this week. I was surprised how affected I was by it. But it turned out to be a false alarm. If a stretch mark is my biggest problem right now, then I'd say things are going pretty well.

Miss anything: I miss being able to wear whatever I want.

Movement: Oh yeah. It gets stronger and more frequent with each passing week.

Cravings: Cotton candy was a craving until I had it. Now I don't think I'll need sugar the rest of my pregnancy. That's a lie. I made cupcakes at 6 AM this morning. Other than that food in general is what I crave. I don't have many aversions.

Queasy or sick: I gagged once when I took a sip of a green juice I bought from the store, but that's about it.

Looking forward to: Other than my next ultrasound and vacation, I am really looking forward to taking Baby B to the park.
