34 Week Update

4:59 AM

At night I always think about things I want to mention in my next blog post then I sit down the next day to type them out and completely forget what I want to say. Oh well, let's see what I can remember.

  • My little girl is almost five whole pounds. She is a little moving machine. Her heartbeat is at a strong 142 bpm.
  • This week I've contacted a couple of pediatricians but have not chosen one yet. It's actually stressing me out a lot.
  • I've been told multiple times that I am carrying low. I thought I was carrying high, but now I'm thinking that is probably why I don't have any rib pains or crowding. She is so low that she doesn't get in my ribs hardly at all. But my left hip is a different story. I honestly think she punches me in the hip sometimes. And don't even get me started on the lightening crotch. Ouch.
  • I found my first few stretch marks under my left boob. They are pretty small, but I can see them clear as day. If I was to get them anywhere, that is probably the best spot. No one will ever see them.
  • I can still shave my legs while in the bath, but bending down has become extremely difficult. The majority of the time that I try to pick something up I will have a BH contraction and have extreme pain trying to stand back up.
  • Taking bump pictures has become very difficult the past month. Robby is working nonstop, the weather has been too hot or raining every evening, and I have no energy to get ready anymore.

How far along: 34 weeks! 6 weeks to go.

Gender: GIRL!

Weight gain:  I'm up to 146 now, so 26 pounds.

Symptoms: I've been a bit more emotional this week. I've cried multiple times. I am also tried all of the time even after taking a nap and sleeping 8 hours a night. I guess that's to be expected when your body is making another human.

Belly button in or out: Out.

Sleep: I am still sleeping long hours.

Best moment this week: Our baby growth appointment on Monday. I am always nervous when going into appointments. I've been lucky enough to have a super smooth pregnancy and have no baby concerns whatsoever, but there is always a chance that the next ultrasound will reveal something new. But this appointment was as great as all the rest. Little B was measuring right on track and weighed 4 pounds 12 ounces. Almost 5 whole pounds! She is in the head down position and moving a ton. She also has the biggest lips I've ever seen on a baby, but that could be because she was pushing on her face with her arm. The doctor was also able to see hair. I just can't wait to see and hold her!

Worst moment this week: I think being a bit more emotional has been hard. I want to enjoy the last little bit of my pregnancy, but my emotions make it hard sometimes. Also, these random aches and pains can be annoying because they come out of nowhere. Luckily they don't last long.

Miss anything: I miss my old clothes again. I feel like such a slob sometimes because I'm usually wearing Robby's gym shorts and T-shirts.

Movement: She just gets stronger every week. I still feel like she is trying to escape sometimes. We are currently listening to Mozart, and I feel like she is dancing around in there.

Cravings: I really like ice still. Steak is also very pleasing to my taste buds at the moment.

Looking forward to: My sweet baby girl making her arrival!
