29 Week Update
7:16 AMBaby B is now the size of a pineapple! She is around three pounds now and is running out of room in there.
On Wednesday I had another doctors appointment. This was just a typical check up and the doctor went over my results for my glucose test and other blood work. The doctor asked if I did the glucose test yet, and I said I did on Friday. She looked at her computer to see if she had the results and said, "Yep, looks good." And that was it. haha. Later I looked at my results online and saw that I scored an 89 and the cut off was 135, so no problems there. She also said my iron looked good.
Every time I go to see the doctor she asks if I have any questions, and I never really do. I feel like the worst mom to not have a million questions to ask, so I can be the most informed pregnant lady ever. But nothing ever comes to mind. I did ask if my weight gain was normal because at 28 weeks 5 days I gained 20 pounds. I still have over 11 weeks to go where I should only be gaining a pound a week. That would put me at 31 pounds when I should only be gaining 25 pounds, 30 tops. But she was not concerned at all. I asked if there was anything concerning about Baby B, and of course there wasn't. The only concerning thing this entire pregnancy was in the beginning my placenta was in front of my cervix. If it did not move, I would of had a c-section instead of a natural birth. The placenta can not come before the baby. But my placenta has moved completely out of the way, so there is nothing at all that is concerning.
Robby and I went to our very first childbirth class on Wednesday. We are learning about the basics of labor, how to swaddle and change a baby, and we will get to take a tour of the hospital. I've learned a lot already and can't wait for the next one (there are four classes in the series).
How far along: 29 weeks! Only 11 weeks to go!
Gender: A sweet, little girl!
Weight gain: 20 pounds. I am up to 140 pounds now.
Symptoms: Bloody nose, leaky boobs (TMI?), Braxton Hicks contractions are becoming more frequent, my right leg keeps falling asleep, I pee every 15 minutes now and exhaustion.
Belly button in or out: Out.
Sleep: I'm starting to wake up a lot more often throughout the night. I'm not sure if it's because I'm pregnant or the dogs moving around. I'm not letting them in the room tonight, so we will see.
Best moment this week: Just knowing that there is nothing to be concerned about right now in my pregnancy.
Worst moment this week: I did have one instance this week where I was having a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions. I know if you have more than 4 or 5 in an hour you should contact your doctor. I'm pretty sure it was happening because I wasn't drinking enough water, so I guzzled down a couple of bottles.
Miss anything: Just the same old stuff.
Movement: I had a little movement scare on Sunday. She wasn't being her usual active self, but in the evening I played some music for her, and she perked right up. I am feeling her elbows poking out a lot more, and she has found her way into my ribs, but nothing painful yet.
Cravings: I think I'm having more aversions than cravings. I'm not so into meat at the moment. I will have a little bit of it with my meals, but for the most part it's all about the sides for me. I haven't even wanted bacon lately. True story. My sense of smell is in overdrive right now, and everything smells bad. But popsicles are pretty great. I am loving anything made of ice.
Looking forward to: My baby shower! It's this month! Woohoo!
