8 Month Update

12:25 PM

At 8 months Isla is taking over the house. Her toy stash is growing and so is her need to explore. Before this month she mostly stayed in whatever room we brought her in. Now she is taking it upon herself to go where she pleases. The kitchen is her favorite because she likes to try and get into the dog's water bowl. I currently have the dining room chairs on top of the table because she loves to climb on them. She even attempted climbing stairs at Heather's house and standing on her own for a few seconds at a time.

She finally mastered clapping while we were in North Carolina. While I was trying to get her to fall asleep at night she would sit up and practice her clapping. All of that practice paid off because she's pretty dang good at it.

Isla also found her voice. She now says mama, baba, dada, ow, buh bye, and a mixture of all of them together. She started with baba and mama, but dada is her go to now.

One of my favorite things from this past month is how excited Isla gets  Whether it's Robby coming home or putting her near a toy she likes, she kicks her legs and makes the cutest giggling squeal.

One of my least favorite things from this past month is how much Isla is biting, scratching, pinching and pulling hair. This mama is hurting!

Speaking of hair, Isla's is finally growing back in and fast. She is truing into such a little blondie, and I love it! She's my little blonde-haired, blue-eyed girl.

Height: 27" She lost a 1/2". haha
