20 Week Update with Baby #2

7:02 PM

I just read my 20 and 21 week pregnancy updates from my pregnancy with Isla  and realized my pregnancies are almost identical. I'm just more tired because I'm chasing around a toddler now.

Halfway through my second pregnancy. I honestly don't believe it. The first trimester was kind of slow, but the second trimester is blazing by. I hate that I can't focus all of my time and energy on one child, but at the same time I can't wait to have two little kiddos to love on. Isla is so baby obsessed right now I just know she is going to make the most amazing big sister.

For the past couple of months I've been going to yoga classes a few times a week. I had a few friends rave about it, so I thought it was time to commit. I will say that I had no workout routine when I was pregnant the first time or ever in my life to be honest. I've never stuck to working out. But I've stuck to this. I am so lucky that I have a husband that encourages me to get away for an hour to focus on my health. I am really hoping this helps with a better labor and delivery.

I'm also obsessing over the nursery. I love decorating nurseries so much, but I think I need to chill out. I decorate so early on that I end up wanting to change everything before the baby even gets here. I need to relax and focus on the kid that is here already. I also need to chill out with buying baby clothes and focus more on necessities like diapers.

I get more and more excited about having two girls. We have a name picked that I absolutely love. I can picture Isla and her sister playing and matching and being all cute. I do worry about them as teenagers though. Luckily that's awhile down the road.

How far along: 20 Weeks 3 Day

Gender: Girl!

Weight gain: 11 pounds I think.

Symptoms: Same symptoms as before. My belly is growing fast and starting to get uncomfortable. I'm noticing more bloating lately. Peeing a lot.

Belly button in or out: Out

Sleep: I sleep through the night, but I never feel like I get enough sleep.

Best moment this week: How much more aware Isla is of her baby sister and feeling more baby movements!

Worst moment this week: Nothing terrible comes to mind. I was disappointed that the ultrasound was so short, and I felt like we didn't get to see much of my baby. The tech was super sweet and everything, I just was expecting a little more. I think I might do an elective ultrasound just so I can watch the baby wiggle around some more.

Miss anything: Clothes. I wear a lot of the same stuff because nothing fits be right. I keep buying new clothes and nothing seems to work!

Movement: Yes! She is so much more active now. Robby has felt her move on several occasions. I feel her the most when I'm laying down, but I am now feeling her while moving around and doing things. She getting so strong!

Cravings: Nothing really.

Looking forward to: I'm looking forward to our family/maternity pictures next month. It's been awhile since we've had any done because Isla is so hard to photograph now. The last couple of times we've tried she just pitches fits. Fingers crossed things go smoothly this time.
